I'm generally not a fan of bounty guards. But I think the poster is more wishing to be able to rest in his home in with a modicum of safety and have a warning during attacks. Worth thinking about alternatives. I know sargas and jerin have some ideas around all of this.

There are already too many reasons to go cabal instead of trib, cabal members don't need the added benefit of hiding behind the tribs NPCs during pvp, especially not when every cabal except hammer has the capability of effing you over at range while TWO enemy pcs spawn 6 guard NPCs a room. If you want this crap, join the trib. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Good, point. Thanks!

Also, if that were the case, then tribunal members could just alt and farm coin for their tribunal with no real consequence. No risk to their character, and then they get to fill their coffers with some throw-away alt. Win-win.

Well, there could be a limit on the account of how much can be donated by non-tribunal members per rl day, and if you set that limit fairly low, I think it would be fine.

But honestly, I see why people wouldn't want it changed, and there are other things that deserve more attention than this anyway.

Theoretically, they can already do this; there's just an additional step in the middle.

If you're in a warring tribunal, the bounty NPCs will also yell about invaders.

Right, I meant tribunal. Heh.

No, wrong. It's warring tribunal, and it's not bounty NPCs, it's certain regular guard NPCs who can be avoided with a gate in every city except Sith'a'niel. So only Tas/Ayamao really have a warning system. Man it's good to be lightie. Sith is also the only city with a guard in the inn, and Exile has 3+ NPCs who jump into fights.

I suppose I wasn't being clear.

I think all guard NPCs should yell when engaging with criminals to warn citizens and call for additional NPC assistance (which would move at normal movement rates in groups like what happens in Teron). I think inns should have a guard NPC in them that will rescue people being attacked. And I think we should get rid of bounty NPCs.

You probably have to do something about recalling too, but that one is too complex for my brain.
