All spells cast by a shaman at or above a barb's level should ignore MR.

Discuss.

And self-held spells should ignore negation.

Unquestionable.

Yeah man, it sure would suck to be able to get heal, sanctuary, and armor from a GM shaman ally.

Isn't that what you would call "tactics" and "planning" and setting up your character to have certain bonuses and certain other drawbacks?

Of course, it also sucks to have a shaman and barb decide to kill a newbie MR barb and the shaman maledicting the barb till the shaman's head pops off. The shaman-and-barb tagteam each being 9 levels above the solo newbie MR barb.

I thought you were the great tactician and planner. If your great planning fails, you always have your superior tactics to fall back on.

Barbarians are uncivilized warriors who combine instinct, determination and
sheer brute force into a formidable fighting style. Barbarians are healthier
and feel the pain of wounds less than others. They are rarely surprised by
any attack as their combat instincts never allow them to relax. Most
barbarians view magic as a weakness and disapprove of its use. They do,
however, have a special bond with shamans and will always accept the use of
their spirit-gifted powers.
