Or even just removing bounty NPCs from the capitals would be a good start. You've already got a ton of guards there who should be doing that job.

Unless you make capitals more secure, removing bounty NPCs will just prevent PKers from spending time in inns unless they have a huge gank-squad of their own waiting. Even tribunal leaders will get jacked without anyone batting an eye.

I think you all are following what I'm laying down. Cities more defensible, less bounty NPCs, more tictacs! Aerial exits was just the start of that thread and I'm sure more fun will be in store soon. I'm not sure if anyone's noticed, but there have already been some additions to make the gates defensible at a few cities. I'm crafting some ideas on how to make other capitals have the same options. Some of this was already in place, but a few areas are just going to be a bit more effort. Obviously the cities with a single exit will be last on my list for these things, but hopefully all the tribunals will have a way to utilize their nifty skills to make the game more interesting.

In all cities, there should still be one gate target available. One that is not near the jail and the inn. In that room, since it is an officially sanctioned room, there should be enough guards in the room to significantly delay any assault. For instance, in Nerina, make it in one of the Talon towers in the wharf.

I would say that's almost congruent to gating to the stones.

True... Wouldn't even mind if they were actually stones... or something similar. Have a gate target within the city, will mean that stones won't be camped. Or at least having a gate target where there are several guards, means that it won't be camped as easily. I am all for removing gate targets from within the city, but to make it so that people will want to camp the stones, won't solve the issue.

Although I did just realize that for some tribunals this'll really mess up their utility: No more rifts/gates from inside the city from NPCs.

Wouldn't the same gate target inside the city be vulnerable to camping the same way?

Couldn't those same NPCs rift/gate from outside the city? Hassle yes, but a trade off I suppose.
