That's still what banishment does, you get teleported after you've served any crimes, or just teleported if you don't have any. It might seem worse now because of bounty NPCs, which mean that when you're banished you have basically no chance of even exploring any areas in that kingdom unless you empty their accounts.

Ha! You can tell I play a ton of banished characters! I thought that the bounty NPCs were a shift/revamp in the system, not an addition to it.

Yes, if that's still how it works, I'm not interested in giving random banishment back to leaders. At all.

Attacking tribunal members should definitely be against the law. I think everyone except for Dulrik recognizes this. I'm not convinced that you should be able to banish someone who his stunning people. While nobody RPs it, there is supposed to be a substantive difference between roughing someone up and taking their things, as opposed to actually killing them and sending them to the afterlife.

I like that there is "get all" on stunned people. The lawl code still needs some work.

Perhaps we need a new crime(s). Grand Theft for when a user gets all from either a corpse or a stunned victim. Is get all from a corpse only one crime as well? If so, it can be made Grand Theft as well.

EDIT: With this in mind, I motion to change a certain cabal skill to destroy all items on the corpse upon use of said skill because of a total use of corpse, and with it, anything on the corpse. I'm not moving very hard at all in this motion. Just something to think about, really. I don't particularly care about this little edit derail...of my own post.

Seems that the problem with theft of a stunned corpse is that usually there is no one to even see the crime to report. I love the idea though.

Smoochy is still curious. But is this really an issue of law code, or an issue of moral code?

Quoted for Untruth. Smoochy RPs unnecessary roughness!~♫ While probably not the best, nor the most influential role player around to effect the status quot, Smoochy has yet to flat-out kill anyone ICly. But then again, the pbase hasn't been that aggressive. You kind of never know how cruel or judgmental someone wants to RP their characters. Kinda makes you wonder how they sleep at night...

Anyway! It was stated above that some code was adjusted due to character abuse..

It really would be nice to have some layer of trust. Guess people are going to be people...

It's a pretty IC thing. Killing someone is definitely bad, but taking their things is also very bad. Stunning someone and taking their things is arguably much worse than killing someone and leaving their things, and there isn't much difference at all between killing someone and looting all their things versus killing someone and looting all their things. However, stunning someone and full-looting them is hardly punished at all, compared to murder, but the lawl code hasn't caught up to that realization yet. Before the "get all" change it was too much work and too uncertain to stun someone and then attempt to loot them before something went wrong. Now it's extremely easy.

By the way, I'm not complaining because this is happening to me. In fact, I've done this once to one of Peso's characters and I only had to serve a crime of theft and assault and battery for it. I'm pointing this out because I've already seen it happen to lower-level members of my tribunal by people who were at war with my tribunal and didn't want to get banished. I don't blame the guy who did it either: According to the code, that's the most effective way to go about war with a trib.

OK. Well, obviously, ICly it is a bad thing. Can't argue that.
Mean, even IRL its a bad thing. A few countries even merit stoning/etc.

Big giant light bulb just went POOF! Edoras, you probably said what was repeated in the thread a few times, and Smoochy finally got it. Why? Cause Smoochy is as dull as a box of rocks. Ugh...sorry..

So what then? Are we down to tweaking Kingdom laws? We(SK) ARE in the medieval ages...

I don't think anyone is trying to blame anyone here. And OOCly and ICly it absolutely sucks to have your gear (investments) stolen.

I just want to make sure we try to isolate and talk about the problem before settling on a solution.

Removing "Get All" might solve the problem, but it may not be the best way to solve the problem.

And the problem as I've heard isn't necessarily about "get all" it's about criminal recourse.

I'm honestly not even sure what the breadth of the criminal flags are, but I would be supportive of tribunals having a modicum of control over such things.

Maybe that's not the ideal solution, though. Maybe it's adding a new level of crime, as you say.

Maybe it's adding a degree of lag when looting corpses / bodies (as it takes time to take things off a body, etc.) - Though that solution would have ramifications to people who were looting their own bodies.
