I don't think kick even has a niche in PvE. Damage to NPC PE pools is not ever something that is considered at the tactical level in PvE (mostly because they seem to have ludicrous amounts of it and either they or you will be dead before it is expended/damaged), and trip/bash have the added bonus of debuffing accuracy and stopping spell casting/counter bashing.

Dunno. Guess I was just hoping that a broader range of tactical choices was being explored with buffs to various skills. I mean, if kick did a significant amount of PE damage to the target, there would be a serious choice to make. Do you bash/trip and lock them down at the risk of missing/failing and ending up locked yourself, or do you use a skill with less lag in an effort to kill enough PE to prevent quaff word?

I was thinking kick is way better against most NPCs based on the HP damage. Kick should be equivalent to getting an extra attack for damage, whereas trip and bash damage barely register and are often just blocked by armor. But those are good points, so I'll consider it.

I think it's pretty safe to say that if you aren't getting the HP damage done with your three/four edamage-buffed attacks on NPCs, that extra one attack every 1.2 rounds isn't going to make the difference. Same goes for the extra HP damage in PvP. Kick was looking exciting again purely because of the addition of PE damage.

Getting kicked to death sounds like a fun way to die. Can't flee or swing your weapon because 3-5 NPCs that auto assist (XX screams and attacks!) locked you in prone and river danced on your ribs.

Maybe add slight debuffs for consecutive kicks. Like slight reduction to weapon speed, or whatnot.
