Oh! Or how about being able to use loyalty tokens for a free reincarnation?

It strikes me that a lot of these loyalty token ideas go towards making the game either prettier or more casual for the player who holds them.

Could there not be ways to spend these tokens that would directly benefit people around the player who holds them? Incentivizing players to cluster around people the staff thinks are good examples might help reinforce those qualities. Paragon's benefit is intangible, so I don't think the reward system is the direct sort of conditioning to which many players would respond.

The things you do with loyalty tokens should help you do things that might get you more loyalty tokens for good reason -- CRS is not a good reason -- so that the system is sustaining and infectious.

Otherwise, the risk is that loyalty tokens will just become the currency of nepotism and practically inactive leaders farming the position to fuel their sanctioned snowflakes.

Additional room for coin as well? Five tokens allow you 50 more black in the bank?

I like this idea but a better hoarding preventing system should be implemented first, imo. Maybe not first. But shortly after. It would be a good place to implement the system that was come up with and elaborated on a while back.

I would say no to both. Coin isn't difficult to gain in game if it is needed.

I would prefer the container idea not be added, but if it were, I could potentially see something like:
The containers are just begging for abuse. Undestroyable? Perhaps. Definitely not owner-only. I would also be highly leery of no-steal. I could see, possibly, something like 50 pounds, 50 item container that has a weight reducer of 20-25%. The problem then comes in of what happens to the container. I would say that it has a six month to a year timer put on it and decays, regardless of whether the character who had it created is still in the game or not.

In lieu of the semi-standard 50 obsidian cost for a mortal contribution to be built, perhaps a cost of loyalty tokens may also be established. These aren't meant for character owned items, but things made permanent out of role play opportunities. So for example, you want to see a new shop built that you've done the RP story for, planning for, etc. I think the point about the money is it takes effort to get the coin. Also takes time and effort to get those tokens.

Whoever gives the tokens could just favor RP related to projects they want to see instead of projects that are actually good, and the system falls apart, however. Tokens would just become the carrier particle for staff-player partnerships. Not a *bad* thing, but not what I think the point was?

The point was to make suggestions for spending tokens. Tokens are currently simply given automatically by the system. I was just offering an alternative in their spending, which is what this discussion was about. Sorry if I misunderstood your response.

Ah! That was a harsh reply on my part, I'm sorry.

I'm just thinking of the ways that some of these ideas would affect things that happen *after* they're spent. What they encourage, the systems they create, and so on. A lot of these ideas... they seem good, and I like them, but they seem to lack that certain sustainability that turns a neat reward into an engaging system of participation, you know?
