You seem to be under the impression that this isn't a feature for all characters and all classes and all types of equipment?

Or am I misunderstanding the point? Is the problem that griffons have fewer equipment choices than other races?

If this is a feature, then get rid of all of the weapons. This facade that says, "Okay newb, you can try these out but when you become GM, you need to go back to what we designed griffons to be, claw guys," is annoying at best and a frustration at worst.

The new hoarding features, while good, may only serve to widen the gap between best choices and all other choices when it comes to items of all types in the game.

I have every inclination that the overall push is for the community to move back to the "mithril is miraculous" days when common sentiment figured tanso steel was endgame material.

Moving to scarcer resources is never comfortable for everyone, and some groups of character builds suffer more than others.

Maybe it will work out in the end.

I can't say I disagree with the observation that the proliferation of weapon subtypes incomparable to a small selection of undocumented superior choices is an archaic layer of obfuscation of no benefit to a multiplayer game though.

In the end, you are a griffon. Use your claws, maggot.

The comment that there is only one mithril/addy/diamond shield for griffons in the game is false. Things for griffons have been added, though not advertised. You have to get out and explore to find new things sometimes :)

Oh, and they are not always in places titled things like "Griffon Sanctum"

Enjoy.

Ive noticed some new griffon items but i have no idea where they are. Here is a other question, Would it be that bad for the game if the Talon GRIP was just removed? Making griffons able to use any weapon and shield?

I'm not convinced there's enough reason to build a bunch of new griffon 133tn355. I would not object to some builder adding some stuff, which has been done recently, but I do not have any inclination to do so myself. It does not strike me as a priority, a necessary move, nor an effort which would widely expand the draw of old or new players to the game. Too many other more important projects.

So, you are claiming there is more than 1 high quality (not needed to be scripted or super enchanted just good material) subtype? Not talking about shields and/or ranged weapons. As noted, a cutlass is not a good subtype and the rest of the list previous posted is garbage. Once again, not wanting to have a dozen super enchanted, super scripted loot. Just high quality, good material, subtypes.

I can definitely think of more than 1 griffon weapon that is of a material better than tanso and is a decent sub-type. Not counting that cutlass, 3 weapons in particular come to mind. There are multiple copies, as well.

As for shields ... sure. Maybe you griffon jerkfaces need some of those...
