The part I never understood is how peak attributes are affected by this when it comes to spells like haste.

That one really has me completely lost.

This is your dexterity attribute:

You have your dexterity, but you also have a natural limit. The volume of the cup is your peak dexterity. The amount of water in it is your dexterity score.

The haste spell gives you bonuses to two numbers on your character sheet. It expands your cup and fills it to varying degrees depending on caster level. These bonuses are both enhancement bonuses: they work like the buckets example earlier for purposes of stacking.

If you have more dexterity than you have peak dexterity bonus, your cup overfloweth:

This thread is great and confirming much of what I recently found out. (Had to have an IC convo with dareth, was it? About stacking. Super tough to follow IC.
But my two questions are:

Ring with innate dex +2. Enchanted with int +2.
Second ring with innate dex +2. Enchanted with str +3.
Does this mean that I have +4 dex, +2 int, and +3 str?
Or
Does it mean that I only have +4 dex and +3 str (because enchantment overrides despite the rune type.)

Second question.
Ring +2 dex innate. +2 str enchant.
Ring +2 dex innate. +2 str enchant.
Necklace +2 dex innate. +2 str enchant.
Does this add up to +6 dex and +4 str?
(Because enchantments on rings don't stack with each other but they do stack for each of the other jewelry spots?)
Or
+6 dex. +2 str.
(Because tha sheet don't stack)

This stacking rule only count towards attribute mods? Curious if I had a ring that started with 3 runes of willpower and I added 5 more would it stack with another ring with five more?

Basically would it then be a total of 8 Willpower or 16?

Saves and attributes both apply the stacking rules. Innate save enchants stack with added save enchants only in regards to the largest added enchant total. 3 innate + 3 added + 5 added = 8 total. The 3 added is ignored.

Ah, I was just hoping it was only the STR, INT, WIS, DEX, CON, and CHA runes that was affected by stacking. Very good to know!

just to clarify what OA already said--

Stacking rules apply to all attributes as well as to willpower, fortitude, and reflex.

Stacking rules do NOT apply to Magical resistance and magical protection - those add to a static field around the player, so feel free to add as many enhancements as you can of each.

Stacking rules do NOT apply to armor protection - those add to individual bodypart fields that protect wherever it's worn, so again, feel free to add as many enhancements as you can of each.

The stacking rules do apply to armor protection. It's not like you're going to have 30 armor protection to an individual piece of armor.
