I appreciate the defense, but it's not necessary this time around. I am just taking it as Ardith's way of saying thank you.
While I did later work on AAA game titles, Toxic Grind wasn't one of them. It may not have been Tony Hawk, but it was still a fun game both to work on and to play.
It's not a defense. He's a dick to you every chance he gets for no good reason and he hasn't anything to show for it.
Sorry but where I come from when someone puts in their dues and it pays off, you want to know that person and encourage them, not crap all over them. You don't get to work on huge projects like that unless you're good, so I don't see why he feels the need to denigrate you.
Especially because one person isn't responsible for the design nor the art work or animation or music or programming or testing - it's a big team effort. It's a LOT of damn hard work to put out even a mediocre title that sells 100,000-200,000 copies on a major console. Not anyone can just do it.
So if he wants to say thank you, he can say 'thank you' like a civil individual who isn't a completely entitled, self-indulgent jackass. It's common courtesy and it'd be nice if folks just started showing some of it around here.
