Really? MOST players? Sounds like BS to me.
What game have you played for the last 14 years?

I got a little too flippant. But I stand by my opinion. You said most players. I do not believe 6 out of every 10 players would repeat PK you for saying 'If you treat me like crap now, don't expect me to do any favors for you later'. Stand up for yourself. Without willing enchanters, your potential tormentors will all get steamrolled by their opposition.

I won't belabor the past any further.

Toward the future if this issue is brought to the staff's attention I would be able to correctly assume it would be addressed?

It would at least be looked into. If the situation warranted it, punishments could be handed out. This is not a new policy.

I think the issue with sorcerors has a lot to do with areas where the foes scale with numbers. Specially outlands areas. I really hate the mechanic because it discourages group play because it gets harder the more people you have. I have made trips to places like the temple of murder with rogue and a swashbuckler but struggled with a group of a rogue swashbuckler merc priest and sorceror simply because the spawn rate was over double and the chances of a double spawn fairly high. Perhaps something for another thread.

I do not think you are claiming they are incapable of contributing. Do people actually turn down group mates? I did not think there was such an overabundance of people playing that they can afford to be picky. But if they turn you down, just let them know you will remember that the next time they ask for their items enchanted.

To a degree I understand it. There are trips that go to areas where the # of NPCs that spawn can vary depending on the number of people that wander into the room. In those situations actually bringing a sorc with you at this point is almost a detriment, depending of course on the size of your party. If the party is already large enough, you might not care, but if it's just a healer and a tank, it can become an issue. Especially if said place is not going to allow for petrification, most things immune to color spray, some things immune to acid spray etc.

Again, not saying sorcerors are -useless- in groups or anything to that degree, just saying that their usefulness in PvE groups has been significantly reduced since I started playing this char 1-2 years ago.

Sorcerers still have giant strength, and haste to buff warriors with, the armor and shield spell, and sleep.

I will say, and this is mostly a warlock gripe though that the immunities of high end NPCs needs reviewed. When I did roll a warlock once I got greatly discouraged that my main single target damage spell, magma spray, did not work in places like the Wastelands. If that could be moved to resistance instead, that'd be great.

True, again I didn't say sorcs are useles in parties, and in all honesty in many situations there's a lot more you can do. Just being able to petrify things in most trips is a huge help until you run out of mana.
However, if you put WoW-like damage meters/kill meters/healing meters etc in groups and measure them, sorcs will usually end up at the bottom of all those lists in a PvE trip.

And seriously you know this better than me, nobody needs a sorceror for those buffs. Sleep is good though.

I'm not complaining that sorcerors need a buff, the class does a lot of things other classes can't really dream of, but for me right now it's much more interesting to do things solo rather than join a party, since I don't really feel I'm contributing in one, in a lot of cases. I think that's worth at least considering.
