I don't think I ever saw a Q&A or even an Announcement about this. I was considering making a character but I don't want to roll a sorcerer only to find out that carrying a weapon/shield and 4 wands will result in being unable to carry a flight staff. Please update.

The impression that I got was that if you don't meet montly hours, you'll get dehoarded of staves, Wands, and potions. I think they're separate than the weapons/armor hoarding count.
Dulrik also mentioned that he'd be making it less intense. But all of this is simply my interpretation.

You will be dehoarded at the end of the month in regards to magical devices regardless of hour count for the month. The current limit is not known.

Only Month end? I remember the 6-item limit triggering every login.

This is a huge deal. I think it deserves a changelog entry.

I think we deserve a bit of official explanation of this change. But I remember dulrik specifically stating that it was only durring the monthly reboot.
The armor/weapons is a different set of hoarding code. I don't believe the two relate to eachother in any way, other than the fact that they achieve the same sort of thing.

I don't play a caster, and didn't have a lot of consumables. However, no one seemed to throw a fit from what I could tell.

All is not well, just gave up on it being answered, so nice to see a response. I still have no idea what the new limits are and whether weapons/armor are separate from wands/scrolls. I also don't know whether carrying something as simple as strong blank potions will trigger dehoarding, and whether dehoarding occurs monthly or nightly. Please provide patch notes for this change.

That partially answers the question. You still haven't answered what the new caps on potions/wands/staves/scrolls is though. I don't think you've answered whether or not this is on the same counter as weapons and armor. This is meaningful because a good player has legitimate reason to carry tons of consumables. Let's use a sorcerer, admittedly an extreme example but also a class that has to prep well lest a merc destroy them with 2 keystrokes. In about 20 seconds I can come up with 20+ limited consumables that char would reasonable hold. If the code going to de hoard on quantity, shouldn't players be able to plan to stay under whatever limit has been set?
