Like i mean finney, ardith, thran, grep and opey. Ardith and Opey's bans sound like personal grievances with staff and when Ardith returned briefly he didn't cause any trouble and he contributed to game through RP plenty. Banning people for sharing personal correspondences is really stupid because this is the internet, come on. And if Grep really got banned for counting the number of players on... come on.

And when current players break an ill defined rule like 'not making the mud fun for others', maybe a time-limited ban that doesn't require groveling to get unbanned.

And lift outstanding non-permabans. Come on.

I agree with you that these people should be unbanned and I believe the game would be better. But unfortunately the staff doesn’t feel the same way. Open apologized, like they asked people to do, and he still got shot down.
So unfortunately, it seems like Bai717’s statement is the stance of the staff.

Yeah, I totally believe that after seeing Ardith getting permabanned in April for... what? RPing with me and Vivitnir's player?

These decade-old feuds are just stupid and petty and undermine the continued existence of a game that some of us want to continue playing.

Bring back the Black Hand and Guardians of Ayamao. New players could still be forced into one of the more populated kingdoms.

The flavor of pretentious ass-clenched evil offered by the Empire has limited appeal, and while you could join the other evil cabal, you'd be at a disadvantage trying to kill Imperials on their own turf with no tribunal guards or certain abilities that bypass law NPCs. Druids would be a lot more interesting if they had more IC motivation to be ecoterrorists or literally anything besides a knitting circle for treasure hunters.

I understand that these tribs were removed to try to condense the playbase, but it apparently had either no effect or a negative effect on counts. Bringing them back might help capture whatever interest is still around after the May peak.

Change of subject, but would it be possible to set up a portal schedule for the other circle of stones? You won’t catch a portal from Sigve to Terje. But you could
Catch one from Jofra to Kadde.
Might make exploration a bit easier with fewer casters around.
