Here's what I'm thinking. Tonfa= staff with no reach.
Jo staff = Staff with reach.
Bladed staff= No reach.
Quarterstaff= No reach.
Magical Goku staff = HELLA REACH.

You could only wield Goku's staff if you spend 5 minutes grunting in a position that makes you look and sound like you are tremendously constipated.

Don't forget, one of your biceps would need to bulge excessively and some portion of your body would burst into pseudo-flames.

I voted 'yay', because I can only assume that the author of this thread intended to mean 'yea'.

Seriously, if you aren't sure that you're right, just put down "yes" or "no" instead of attempting to be clever.

With that out of the way though, the staff is one of the coolest weapons around. I think it should get some in-game perks to reflect that.

However, I don't think reach is the solution that needs to be implemented. I think that weapons need to be re-evaluated as some classes of weapons are complete garbage, thus creating the necessity for some weapons to be completely ignored.

I think Dulrik just needs to re-evaluate weapons for the classes of mace/staff/flail.

I completely agree with this statement.

These weapons are used by priests/sorcerors/warlocks. Do you really think that these classes need a boost.

Just brain storming but perhaps specialize and fury are what need to be looked at to make weapons useful in other ways. For example specialized in flails or staff gives one a chance to ground a foe who is flying. Specialized in mace gives you a chance to rattle your foe if they are in heavy armor. Giving them a negative on skill checks. These bonus might run with only some of the sub types of said weapons. Potentially making it interesting to wield something different then the norm. Would also make potential weapon changes in battle a interesting tactical move. Open with a staff to ground your flying foe then switch to a whip for a bonus to tripping them.

No, it'd just be an excuse for offensive casters to have a way around blindness.
