Stupid changes that make no sense just for
game balance remain stupid changes.
Is the magma change one of them Muktar?
Because I've proposed it earlier, a better fix for magma, to make it the most feared spell of SK and make warlocks feared in PK again. At GM, make it doing 250-300 HP dmg to a 0 saves PC(no MP no refl no nothing), keep the cling doing 2x dmg, make it casted in 2+ rounds(like FoD), up the concentration and mana cost(like FoD), but don't make it be the only imba spell of SK that for some unknown reason ignores MP, apart from
balance reasons.
There you have it. A damage spell more powerful than FoD(or about equally powerful), able to insta kill most low HP not resistant chars if they don't have enchants since it will cling(like FoD), a centaur rape spell, but also a spell that won't hurt much anyone who puts effort and prepares for it, getting lots of MP on his suit and a shield spell.
Shattered kingdoms, where roleplay and tactics collide, right? Not where IC reasoning of MP no longer exists(just for this one spell) and tactics like enchanting make no difference because magma will still rape you, no matter how much you prepare.
EDIT: @Lakir: We wrote pretty much the same, but I prefer a one shot killer to those unprepared that you can avoid though if you employ proper tactics(with enchanting being the main tactic against magic
