No, priests are fine and do not need any new spells (religious or otherwise). They got the better end of the enchant changes recently, since consecrate is far superior to enchant. Move along, nothing to see here.
I agree that priests are fine. But what do you meant they got the better end of enchant/concecrate? Just because they're the ones who got AP as the armor enchant?
In general, I find the enchant item options better than the consecrate item options. And the enchant/consecrate weapon options pretty much equal (speed vs. damage). Consecrate is definitely better for armor, though, given that AP>MR.
Both can do AP on armor. Only priests can do MP, which is better than MR save for niche builds. Priests also get the better end of the stick on items with fortitude versus reflex for sorcerers.
Sorcerers got the better deal on enchant weapon, since I think +speed is grossly overpowered and is unquestionably better than +damage. If given the choice, I would always take consecrate over enchant.
Interesting. They seem about the same to me overall.
BUT.
I'd rather just see all the enchanting/consecrating options combined and given to both sorcerers and priests. Since this looks like going "backward" vs. what's been implemented and Dulrik doesn't like undoing things, this will probably never happen. It's just that with a relatively small player base, it ends up being pretty hard to find people to do your enchanting for you, even the minor stuff.
Also, I love the fact that we can now enchant for stats in terms of newbie/lowbie help. But it would be better if the helper could assist across the stat spectrum rather than just with three.
