Just to add some examples of what I'm trying to say.
With fading you can turn this:
Quote:
This is an elven dignitary's robes, a medium mithril container, weighing
approximately 8 lbs. It is of superior quality and is worth approximately
350 silver. It bears an innate endowment to moderately increase charisma.
It bears an innate endowment to moderately increase magical energy.

willpower. +5 will +3 fort
Terrus, keep in mind that this item is, for all intents and purposes on a decently enchanted kit, just a +5 will container. Because you should have another item that is +4 or +5 fort, which means it will supersede this one. Had you not faded it, it could be a +5 will, +2 cha, +2 me container. Now if you'd gotten it up to +5will, +4 fort, then you could avoid having to use another item for fortitude and that'd be worth it.
There is very little reason to want to fade anything other than 1) you want to get rid of innate MR, or 2) you want to fade a "holy" item. And for point 1, you should just find a different item like 99% of the time.
