Exile Job Quests

This isn't the first time I've had trouble with one of these quests, but this is the most recent.

The NPCs you have to request the items from give you different items and only specific ones actually complete the quest. I had to go back and ask for bread again to get the proper item to complete the quest.

I noticed this too - all I can guess is that perhaps the receive script is meant to say something like 'this isn't enough, go get more' perhaps.

Given that it's fresh out of the oven at the bakery, yes - definitely intended.

I meant, maybe the bread got cold. When I did the quests I just assumed I didn't do it fast enough, but I just did a test and if you ask for the bread more than once you get different bread items after the first try. I recall the same thing happening on other legs of this quest. I'll try it out in a bit if necessary.

Maybe it's just a cheap way to make questers think they didn't go fast enough the first time?

He gives you the first horseshoes in his inventory, which are just supposed to be for sale, instead of the ones for the quest.

It is because they sell items that are close to the quest items. They use target words like bread instead of stack or horseshoe instead of steel

Yep - that's the cause.

The script needs to be more specific about the items it's giving to questors, is all.

I accidently handed the sprite in Magiks and Metals a copper instead of an obsidian. He dropped the copper amulet he sells rather than the coin.

I lost the log, but I thought I'd throw that in there.
