Shield

Ever since the shield block tweak was done, my shaman usually nevers blocks regardless of fighting PC or NPC. Was this made purposely? Because speaking to other shamans, they are experiencing for the most part the same thing. Like I remember before the tweak, I would get at least 1 shield block per round but now if Im lucky I'll get one shield block in a fight. Not sure about the other classes though considering they mostly use two handers or dont know the skill. I thought the shield block was apposed to be better?

Check your stats and your weight.

I know that dodge goes first but having one shield block per round is a bit ridiculous, so weight and stats doesn't change the fact on how infrequent the shield block pops up.

That's most likely the problem. Check how heavy your shield is. You might be able to wear it, but it's not doing anything because it's too heavy for you to move your arm - kinda like a weapon that's 'too heavy'.

Another thing to check... is the shield's size equal to the size of your character?

haha yea its size tiny..... i think it weighs like 1 lb? i dont think thats a factor either... and yes it is equal to the size of my character... also i tried using other shield as well.

Having messed around with the relevant shaman, I've noticed he's not kidding. When getting in, over the course of a few fights, about 300 hits, there was not a single shield block, while he has the skill mastered and 25 dex.

I've looked over his shield, it's the right size. He _is_ getting the AC bonus (and a damned big one at that *whines the swash*) but no blocking at all.

Perhaps it has something to do with a particular skill of a cabal he is in? A skill that makes another defensive skill way better, so combined with 25 dex it will nullify the purpose of shield block.

I found a bug with shield block. When the fix goes live, it should probably fix all the odd behavior.
