When you arre creating a griffin you are asked the questions that take one point from one stat and add one to another....well the problem started after the update were they received 13 extra att points.

The problem is you can max a stat like strength and get a question that boosts it...and if you answer strength you lose the other stat and don't gain anything, meening you have just become one stat weaker than a griffin should. It is hard to know where your int and cha are so if you are trying to start with one of these maxed you can really bone yourself.

Has anyone else seen this?

Hmm, I thought I had accounted for this, but I forgot about class stat bonuses. The only stat you can currently overmax on a griffon is the one that you get a bonus to because of your class selection. I'll see what I can do to make it foolproof again.

Does this mean humans and half-elves can get messed up too? or just griffons? Just wondering cause we get a bonus too, and I happen to play a half-elf :)

This is only a new error caused by the very recent griffon changes. All other races are impossible to overmax. I wouldn't even call this 'getting boned' for griffons, considering that even if you screw up the most you possibly can, they STILL end up with about a dozen more stat points that they ever had until three months ago.

I was just trying to point out that there are most likely griffins out there 4 or 5 stat points weaker than they should be....I also wanted other people to know so that they could avoid this problem.

It's impossible to be more than 3 points weaker. Only experts that know what they are doing would probably know how to max out certain stats, and those are the guys who don't want to max it, cause they'd rather rely on equipment for the last few points. All in all, I think the number of people affected by this is quite low.

lolz

doesn't make that big of a difference the way you roll your char, anyway.

eq-dependent chars usually turn out -very- similar to regular old stat-trained chars

plenty of 'experts' around who don't roll and fill in stats with eq

and as if you call ppl who answer hall of creation questions in an intelligent manner 'experts'

lolz

So in other words, you are completely agreeing with me.
