Okay, this is really [REDACTED], because newb PE is low I have to buy a horse and mount it to get anywhere, but because of the code if I get attacked by one of those newb ganking NPCs out in the wilderness I cannot flee from them because my mount (which was fighting the NPC) doesn't think it should flee with me.

This is really [REDACTED] and should be fixed.

I've fled on a horse many times. Was the horse bashed, triped, or otherwise lagged maybe?


Or maybe your horse just sucks and you need one that takes commands better.

Don't think a pet would flee before you. Order all buck and then fleeing should work however.

It looks like you were fighting a giant spider. Does that spider have a poisonous bite? If so, and if it bit the horse, the horse may no longer have enough strength to move while carrying you. Just a guess.

My horse has never bucked me during battle when I told it too, and this has always been a problem with horses not fleeing when you want to flee. Never worked for me, anyhow.

I wish it was something as nice as the horse was too weak to move. No, if your horse is bashed, tripped, has bashed or failed a trip you cannot flee untill it is un bash/trip lagged. Great for killing that bastard who stays on a horse so you can't trip them? Trip their horse, they still can't flee. Also, for quite a while it has been impossible to order your pet to buck. I imagine it is for just that reason.. I've noticed that anything handy I use to get ahead or survive gets changed so it no longer works. No, once your pet isn't moving, your screwed. Unless of course it manages to stop being bashed/tripped in time for you to flee. Course, by the time your typing flee, your generally screwed. Annoying isn't it?

Very, it's happened to me a lot of times after getting bashed or tripped. The problem is the freaking thing will often not stand and NOT do anything more, simply because it wants to fight to the death. My char's death too. I really think steeds should give some smaller disadvantage than that.
