Cleave/Control Bug?

A smoke-filled chamber
  This large, hive-shaped chamber is nearly filled with woodsmoke, making
it very hard to see or breathe.  The only light is given off in a far corner,
but it's nearly neglible, obscured by the smoke.  The combination of gloomy
elements give this place an nearly tomb-like atmosphere, aided by the
ankle-deep ashes upon the floor.

Notice how the wraith was with me, how it all of a sudden came in from the south, and how my charmie couldn't have cleaved me because I was cleaved before I lost my concentration. I've controled two before as well. The other two animates do have weapons, but neither of them have reach. Any ideas?

You were also in first row, so it wouldn't take a reach weapon.

Read the full log. I had moved myself behind the wraith near the beginning. And if I lost control Naarn, why?

Maybe the cleave came from another wraith?

Somehow casting that spell sucked INT. Isit normal for you to not get a status message after casting this spell? Like, something to the effect of "Okay." or "You failed."?

There are two wraiths in the room. I believe you are casting control undead on the second one, and already have the first one controlled, correct?

If so, then the second time you casted the spell, the wraith resisted and cleaved you. They're wielding reaching polearms that can cleave, so this isn't unreasonable.

However, I'm still confused as to why it didn't attack you on the first resisted casting.

I talked to Lantern about this. The wraith that cleaved me has a glaive. I confused this with a sword. That is what happened. I failed and was hit with a critical cleave. Apologies.

BTW Adder, my first cast which gave no response was targeted at the wraith I already charmed by accident.

I think that covers it.
