Code:
Gasbah electric slides in from the east!
Althedion fox trots in from the east!
Krok (Bard Style™) rumbas in from the east!
;)

No seriously. Moving should stop dancing and have the person follow. I agree.

Thanks my question was answered in there, but is it really going to take 7 years to complete the code? I'm not much of a coder myself...not much at all, but that seems like a long time to me.

Of course it wouldn't take 7 years to write code for instruments. But it's all about priorities. There are probably at least 100 sizeable code features that are more important to complete for the game than instruments. I'm also not being paid to write code full time for the game. This is a hobby, and frankly, my real life shows no sign of slowing down this year. :-?

Removed all the subsquent DDR posts, including mine. Apologies for allowing the thread to stray off-topic. Left the original, so people would know what I'm talking about.

To get back on topic if instruments instead of increasing stats which is nice but still fairly useless I think they should increase either a power chord or lyric (Like I said lyric not song) or song.

I forget what it was, but with my bard I had an instrument that would attack an entire room. It's been a while, but there is at least one out there that actually is functional.

As for tools, there are a few that double as weapons, so not all tools are worthless either.

I like the idea of instruments increasing the power of specific chords or songs, either on an individual basis (one chord/song) or themed (an instrument could boost songs of protection/healing, for instance). Benefits could be anything from reducing mana/PE cost to increasing the art bonus or damage. Higher level instruments would obviously be harder to find and boost the more powerful songs (b aug and songs of sleep, for instance) but anyone should be able to get a flute to help strengthn songs of healings a bit.

A flute should boost nothing, since you need to stop singing to blow in it.

[Just joking of course]
