I was able to get in and read most of the books finally with all of your tips. Some are still not accessible though, so any improvements to standardize libraries would be more than welcome. I would assume the authors want the books to be read, and the way it is now is a bit frustrating (not to mention, you get hungry & thirsty real quick while you're trying to figure things out).

Just to point out, if it hasn't been mentioned. Some 'books' are actually magical spell scrolls that you recite. Others are just objects that you can't actually read, and while others are containers. So not all can actually be read.

I'd be satisfied if there was simply a book naming convention. It is so frustrating when you can't even pick up a volume you would like to look at more closely.

Baldwama: Remember the "x." prefix that you can use to pick up a particular item from a stack of ones sharing one or more adjective.

"Get 2.book bookcase" will get you that.

And since we are mentioning this, you might also not know that "all" is also a keyword/prefix. IE: "get all.coin backpack", or "put all.coin backpack" , or "get all backpack". See the different actions these commands will do.

Thanks for the additional tips, especially showing examples of how 'all' can be used as a prefix. However, there is still one book that I was unable to get my hands on. I'll be reporting it as a bug tonight from within SK. I can't remember the full description off the top of my head, but I tried every descriptive word given and nothing worked! :-?

Maybe you need a GM bard to lore it before you can discover how to read its juicy insides :-?

Even if the book is in a incomprehensible language, you should still be able to physically pick it up and look at it!

Any bookcase, bookshelf, shelves, of shelf should have keywords for all four. If they don't, use TYPO.

Any problems picking up, reading, or in the text of, books - use TYPO.
