Now I really think there is a bug. It happens everywhere.

Either that or there are a lot of broken room affects. It just recently started happening too, and I know FOR CERTAIN it is not because of my client.

Me and my friends have noticed this for sometime. We chalk it up to Immortals snooping someone that is in the room/walking into the room. I think Dimmel is being snooped nearly 24/7 because there are usually one or two blank lines when he walks in. Sometimes now, with the same equipment....not scripted.

Snooping. Maybe something worth looking into?

I've been snooped and know I was being snooped and got [REDACTED] slapped by an imm because I typed in that he was [REDACTED].

There are no blank carriage returns when you're being snooped. Anybody that tells you this is a [REDACTED] [REDACTED].

Snooping is fine - no echoes, etc there.

Slight possibility an immortal is walking around WIZINVIS I guess - that might trigger the lines, but no text. Most of us keep clear of 'open' areas though, unless there's already a bug being investigated.

Every time I've received a blank line I've missed something. Either something being said or done by another PC.

I don't know if I'm missing tells, but when what I logged occured, all I was doing is sitting around, waiting to rezz people. It could just be random blank lines, or I could acutally be missing tells. Since I did recive at least one or two during that short time, I'm not really sure what happened.

So if anyone did try to send me (Roltaine) a tell, and I didn't respond, post it here, because I likely didn't get it.

Would be nice to at least try to figure out what is going on.

I've had the same trouble. It was with lurkers in Morea, and only there with me... funny huh? I changed PCs, and installed a different version of the client (and went on broadband) and all is fine now...

I don't mean to resurect old threads, but I think I figured out this bug.

This happened to me again. I was sleeping and 3 people walked out of a room. So line 1 was "Person 1 leaving", line 2 "Person 2 leaving", and line 3 was "Person 3 was leaving", but since I was sleeping, it spammed blank lines. When they walked back in, I got them again.

Perhaps that helps D?

This happens to me as well. I figured it was some sort of scry or snoop or something. Seemed not to happen when I was idling in a warded room but if I moved somewhere else or idled somewhere else, I'd get the blank lines.
