We have +mods for every stat, combat endurance (hp), magic energies (mana), and travelling endurance (move)...

Why not any for spell focus (art)?

FIRSTLY, stat caps would likely have to be rebalanced, to account for the fact that a character could get more art than previously. As well, an art mod would be SIGNIFICANTLY more powerful than a ME, PE or HP mod.

Should they be easily attainable? No
Should there be a lot of them? No

But something like the book of Holy Knowledge, or the Staff of Magic or other Champ/GM unique items. I could see them granting slight or moderate spell focus.

Here's my suggestion then Dulrik, since Fepel wants one so bad, make one, with a +1 to art, and wear it yourself.

They'd cheat. Imm locates would be too hard to foil.

And as for why there are no art mods, do you really want a sorc with several art mods flinging petrifies? Even if it wouldn't be easy to get, it would be a bigger boost than most existing uber eq.

It could be made to not exceeed the cap of a profession. Problem solved. But even so I think that it is not needed and I think adding one would be a bad Idea.
