I haven't played in a while, and I'm wondering about skill levels. For some reason my skill levels are going down if I do not play for more than a day. This is extremely irritating, as I couldn't play for two days, and when I logged back in I had various skills drop quite a bit,

Is this behavious meant to happen? Or is there another reason? I had gained a level just before I quit

Skills levels decrease in the "skills" and "spells" menu only under certain circumstances, the dominant one being that you are wearing armor too heavy for your class. Check "help armor2" ingame for more details.

They can also temporarily go down if your ME is low. Have a bard refresh your mind, rest, or sleep back to full strength and look again.

It does for warriors, assumed it would do the same thing to spellcasters since they are even more dependent on the power of their minds. Silly if it doesn't work that way.

It doesn't do that for warriors...there are two reasons for skills to go down as far as I can remember.
a. Barbarian berserk/fury
b. Wearing armor higher then you're alowed to.

It does NOT go down for lack of mana, it does NOT go down from not logging in for several days, or even ever. Your character will get deleted eventually...but your skills won't go down.

Don't think so, but I'm not positive.

The reason why some of your skills go down when u berserk/fury is because the skills themselves make "intelligence" skills lower while it is in effect- languages, for instance. Rallying cry has no such effect so far as i can remember.
