Not informing your troops would have worked if they were a standard intelligence-gathering group, relying on informants and leaks. But they could literally see into the future. Not telling your troops would only decrease your own efficiency.

Now, back on topic: More books, possibly narratives, which reveal IC information (locations to hard-to-reach places, what kinds of enchantments protect against what spells, and so forth; i.e., Kevry's Third Journey into the Cursed Necropolis).

I think giving out IC info on how to reach hard places in books is a very bad idea. Though there are -plenty- of books out there now that lead to alot of RP and rare places or things.

Perhaps they are there and I have missed it but I would like to see some nice bard scripted instruments. Give them a reason to carry an instrument since they don't have shield block anyways.

I agree- I like that idea.

But even better would be these books written by an aspiring bard or a knowledgeable sorc (librarian?) and submitted for inclusion in the game.

You're welcome to PM me about books, as I've found some IMM support again for the Zavijan Press.

Peace,
Bux

Not really 'build' but I'd like to see the Godmaul be worthy of its name...at the moment its a mithril maul...yey? Thats not really something I'd expect from an item with that name.

Bard instruments were in the original bard specification. I can't say when (or even if) they will ever be added though.

New bard skill - Play

Syntax play <instrument>

Using an instrument, a bard can intensify the power of their lyrics with an accompaniment of music, making sung notes more penetrating, and full lyrics even more devastating. The intensification varies with each individual instrument, and groups of bards will find that having the entire group playing the same instrument is not as effective as a well composed band.

Play : Bards :: Art : spell casters ? (This of course would either mean bards lose art or would have one less thing to focus on when distributing attribute points.
