Hey, yesterday (irl) someone that I was working hard on to get to join the Marfik religion told me that an imm told them that until Marfik or an HF becomes availiable that they would not induct them. I know there is no HF in Marfik right now although, there is a char qualified to do take such a role but to no avail. Heck, my char would like to be HF to keep the faith moving. Is this the new policy on religions without an HF and without an active imm?

On another note. If noone is allowed to join anymore how can there ever be a replacement HF?

That's an awkward rule. I still have the log someplace of me being inducted into Achernar when there was no hf/patron.

Go to a temple, pray: Oh Lord of Time, I ask for you to bless me etc. etc.

You tell Algorab OOC: Hey there, I found out you were the patron imm of Achernar and I was hoping to get invested into the faith on my priest.

Algorab replies OOC: 'Ah sure'

Religion: Achernar

An hourglass of flowing sands is here.

Hehe. That's how investment should be like without imms around, it makes the mud fun again to have a new, suddenly active high priest.

Well, that is how my current char got inducted into Marfik but when I noticed not many other followers I decided to try to get more into the church. I got this person convinced that Marfik is the way to go only for him/her to be told by the imm at the time that they were not going to get them into the church and he/she would have to wait until either Marfik came back or an HF gets appointed.

It is an awkward and inconvenient position, and I apologize.

Said imm, if said imm did indeed say that, was just speaking for him/herself.

I've rped an induction myself with two or three Marfik-ians over the last few days. Praying ICly about it is the best way, but I'll stress that it is no guarantee.

Ideally, any faith missing a HF would simply get a new HF. Things are a bit out of sorts at the moment, however, with this particular faith, for reasons I won't get into.

If you don't hear anything from anybody in a few days, send me an e-mail and I'll look into it: werttrew99@yahoo.com.

Thanks Wert! I was kinda discouraged to hear what the other player told me.

I was the person who spoke with that player and I am irritated to no end that the players were not more understanding. The message I relayed was that it was being worked on. The player decided to "interpret" my statement in a way completely opposite from what I was stating.

I especially find the bringing of this item to the forums as quite counterproductive. It makes me wonder if the person seeking HF is responsible enough to handle being such, when the response is so nasty.

Why help again??

A

I've had a paladin invested into a church by an imm before Also. Can't remember if it was Orac or Roriand. But yea, if no one is around you can still get into faiths. It's not the death of your char.

I brought it to the forums because of what the char told me. I am sorry Archernar that they misinterpretted what you told them and told me the misinterpretation. If the statement that the char told me was true (which it now seems is not) then it would be appropriate to find out what is going on.

Normally, I would of tried to find out what both sides said but when he/she told me this you had already left. So, I had no clue who said it. I just wanted to find out why it was said. In this case the said thing was incorrect.

There have been times when an IMM came to Fepel when one of the MC was seeking a religion, ooc to ask if they had been playing the role.

Joran comes immediately to mind, and it happened other times as well.

*shrug*

I tend to answer prayers of seekers of my faith whether there are Highly favored follower or not. For a long time, there often wasn't one around, so RP and investure by me was the norm.
