I think he might be up set with a quest similar many in Nernia. Where one needs to gather something and return it. You should be informed such quests do not 'end' when it is done once. Only end when you have done it once (a little bit of suspending disbelief for the fun of each player on the quest.) Items you need might disappear for a time, but on the repop tick (when all the NPCs are returned to an area) the item will be loaded again.

I occasionally have trouble with the quest in Chib - just because some item or other isn't there or loading, or some NPC fails to react. That's the only one I really detest.

I have recently seen a newbie hoarding the zakami tusks (probably due to ignorance), but I have also located the red checkered groundball in the Vault of Losache Keep. Excellent play, hm?

Is it common for higher level characters to sweep through a quest while you struggle with it and make off with the reward?

Do you mean that they seem to be able to just complete is faster than you? Higher level chars can surpass obstacles easier (transportation spells, more friends, much stronger in fights) and also some know the answers to quests from friends. IC or otherwise.

Hmm well its a small quest... clean out a room.. kill one fellow for a key, take key, kill some more fellows, open chest...

I'd done part one and was resting up to take on part two.. when someone came flying through.. and did parts 2-5 in about 10 seconds... then left.

As for reach weapons.. the only one for sale is the spear that I know of. And you have to reach apprentice before the item thieves will stop stealing it from you. Warlocks with their limited weapon selection don't get spear or pole arms.. But a humanoid warlock can get a pole-mace...(somewhere I've seen one)

That was probably me, hah. I'm pretty sure I know what quest you're talking about. But still, that quest is desgined for like, jmen. When a master or champ walks in, shouldn't they be able to do it much faster? If they took the same amount of time as somebody half their level, what's the point of levelling?

I'm pretty sure a JM warrior can clear the place without too much trouble, unless the boss has a weapon and then it might be a bit tricky alone.

As for the groundball, that thing is COOL, and an rp item. No one says we can't keep that.

Hmm Are Griffon Warlocks the only warlocks who can't buy a reach weapon?

Sounds right. One of the disadvantages of the griffon race is the relative scarcity of weapons. This is something you might want to ICly talk discuss with more experienced griffons, or mentors in general.

Why do item thieves steal unenchanted talon weapons from initiate characters? Its not like griffons can get anthing less useful... (This was a scout so don't talk to me about claws untill I can throw arrows )

Because the particular weapons you're talking about aren't low-level weapons - qute the contrary. Then again, Initiate griffons don't have to worry much about weapons. Especially at low levels, you don't have to be a barbarian to take advantage of natural armor, powerful claw attacks, and high starting attributes.
