Gilgon, just drop it man. It is far too obvious that you have no idea of the bard's true powers. So, unless you play one and put those theories in action, I say your advice is crap. Songs are the only thing that really rule in a bard, and there is a good reason why a bard's prime stat is cha. Period.

I dunno, his theories are incredibly solid. Persuade IS an insanely awesome skill. Someone who can reach 23 CHA and joins MC will literally wreck people because he'll have insane amounts of buffs from persuaded NPCs AND will be hitting up people with 25CHA persuades. You'll be dead because your group will be magically fighting itself.

Man, I agree that under the IDEAL circumstances persuade would rock the day, but you can NOT count on it. Have you seen what a 25 cha bard, singing songs of sleep would do? I have. Trust me, songs are the bard's major power.

Gilgon hasn't played a bard before, NXS hasn't either. So they can't understand how BIG is persuade lag, big enough for an experienced player to just change target after he was persuaded and kill a still lagged bard. Not to mention it's extremely easy to resist it, simply because it can be devastating in some cases.

Songs of sleep/silence are a bard's powers in a group, and they are enough for a group to easily own an enemy group of double size.

It's not really worth arguing with them, nxs. While it's funny to watch DA and juggernaut show off the fact that they're newbies for a while, no matter how logical you are they never change their opinions.

Hahaha, a forum troll that hasn't played a char for months with the exception of harassing chars like Lamekis or Juggsisa and propably never played a bard tries to persuade someone who hasn't played for 2 years and returned with one shaman that bards can persuade effectively into PK.

NXS read my post again about lag and saves, try to witness some PK with songs of sleep for one group and see where their true power lies. Only newbies and/or lowbies can die to persuade, but then that means that Jardek's opinion that snare is elite is true in that case.

Just goes to show that when the eagles fall silent, the parrots begin to jabber.

Stop your jabbering, DA, you're only making yourself look undignified. Go and level another character to GM in an hour or what have you.

Psh, I am not even going to bother anymore, feeding the trolls. If you want, roll a bard and see for yourself. I have rolled two so I don't care. Oh, wait. You can't!

Once you roll a char to play SK I will stop that Jardek. Till then though, refer to that image

Bitter jaded oldbie could fit in your case, but you obviously have taken it one step further with immense forum trolling. Keep trolling.

I am neither bitter nor jaded, actually, and am currently enjoying a character on the mud.

I believe that's your cue to stop talking by your own admission, DA. I for one will enjoy your silence.
