at least in the beginning, Mira's faith had a connection with the mysteries of the sea, as well. don't know if that's still an ongoing thing. one of the icons of the church was an eight pointed star (compass rose).

Halerion's direction of the faith had little to do with the sea. *shrug* And he was HF for what? 6 months? No clue who leads now, possibly Severin still.

Eh, I'd say Sadal's connection with the sea is mostly indirect. What the mariners respect/fear is her control of storms, which obviously a ship at sea does not want.

Maybe it's time to give Sadal a new sphere.

Mira's connection to the sea is through the creation of the merpeoples.

Sadal's connection is through storms

Yed's through the elements

Nashira's through nature

Meissa's through the waters of rebirth and healing

Achernar's through the River of Death even

No one deity has full control.

The god of the sea is automatically a pirate.

Class would be hellion of course, because that would attract many to his cause because hellions are elite.

Yes he'd be a hellion, but he would also have all the necessary swashbuckling skills.

Dual wield + cleave = :o

I'll claim the sea. And here's a reference provided from a book, that was inspirational to Mercurii.

Code:
The End Of The River
Scrithoo looked up at the figure in utter astonishment
And forgot all his stomach's demands for nourishment.
He raised himself to the fullest of his height and said:
"Have you seen my brother, my brother who is dead?"

Before the form could reply, Scrithoo added with a quiver:
"I've been told over and over to seek the end of the river,
And at last, I am here where this stream does end in the sea,
And I still haven't found my brother, wherever he may be!"

The winds grew still, the horizon extinguished it fiery red
And the form spoke up, and to the little halfling it said,
"I am the taker and giver, I am past and forever.
I am the end of the river, I am the end of the river."

Scrithoo shouted at Achernar at the ocean's shore,
"Take me to my brother, and I will bother you no more!"
Achernar bowed his head and embraced Scrithoo to him,
And the halfling found himself united with his brother again.

And on the breeze, on birds' wings, and whispering fern,
On the lapping, laughing waves, one could faintly discern:
"I am the taker and giver, I am past and forever.
I am the end of the river, I am the end of the river."

*quickly making an off topic post insert* The book this came from was recently changed over to a read-type new format book. I hope everyone out there enjoys these new format books. Remember to open them. Look at the book to see its description. Read (book) to read through the pages of the book in sucession after it.*returning to the topic*

So, I own the sea, but if you're a sailor, you need Sadal's luck to survive my bulging pectoral muscles.
