Hmm.... this thing on? Apparently, I'm not censored.

The novel thing I'm suggesting is a spell that when casts offers a big retalitory boom of doomishness upon the death not upon the casting, but upon the death of the caster. I also suggest that it not be insto death for others. A rather large amount of damage. This way it has a spirit of mutal assured destruction. I admit I don't know how much damage a charector can take in a game of adjectives for rankings.

While a prismatic spray might be the chaotic roullette wheel of doom, which is fascinating in it's own right, I'm attempting to keep the spirit of the final strike, while amending it so it might add to the game instead of being ignored by the game.

A reflective damage type of spell.

Sorc casts it, and during the duration that its held, any damage that he takes is stacked up, and upon releasing the spell (or if he dies), it is reflected back upon the room at an increased rate? Say.. 1.25 times as much damage?

Make it the opposite direction (reflecting less damage than done to him - 1:1 is still way too much) and I could give my support to that idea.

Call it Reflective Wall, moderate concentration, and let's say, 60% of the damage is reflected?

My stomach hurts from laughing!

It occurs to me too, we are a community of Uber-nerds.

Needs to be high concentration if we're talking a spell that has a chance of dealing damage for half the mage's HP I think.

Dont know enough to know what the details should be but... 40-50ish% (that is still an enormous chunk of damage late in a fight), mid-high concentration and reflex save sounds interesting.

Give the spell a certain chance to absorb the damage from a blow, dependant on spell mastery and level, maybe?

For example, an untrained reflective wall might collect damage from 1 out of every ten hits, whereas a mastered GM reflective wall would work for 7-9 out of 10?

Less World of Warcraft clone ideas, more original SK ideas.

I wasn't suggesting it, just found the reference amusing. I definitely wouldn't want to see SK become a text-based WoW clone. I love them both for their individualness. If they became too much alike, I doubt I'd feel the same way.
