I think that's their own fault for getting PKed into the dirt. 90% of the time the lighties aren't even the aggressors.

Also, if you join a religion, and the practice of that religion that you chose is boring and sucks to you, you might want to rethink being in that religion.

So from the perspective of a new person, say me who hasn't been into every religion, might not enjoy it as much as i thought i would. say an inactive religion or its not what i thought it would be like. I would restart a character and try another if i really wanted into a religion and keep making new chars until i find one that is FUN.

90% of the time? Yeah, right. It's more like 25%.

I suppose if you attack a lightie or talk [REDACTED] to them and they kill you, then yes, they are the aggressor. Or if you're leading around a raid party and a lightie defense party shows up to halt ya, yeah, they're the aggressors.

"Unlike cabals and tribunals, religions are designed to be easy to get into. These groups can be great fun, and it's good that they're accessible to newbies. "

Perhaps this has already been addressed, but I have to wonder if perhaps people would stay in religions longer if they were asked to meet higher standards to gain access?

No, its a god. Do I have to jump through hoops to beieve in a religion? I dont think so. If they grasp the basic concepts and you feel they display some sense of rp of the spheres, bang they are in.

You can believe you know what you want to but the chruch does not need to accept you... Like mormens and pigomy...

As annoying as it is to have people join and delete I still think it is better to have a group like churches to help lowbies/newbies with little trouble to get in, I only wish thiere was a way to keep the church close to each other and more importantly make it so churches actually are considered more important RP wise then cabals or Tribunals....

Meztizo they are more important. It is generally considered church before cabal. ICly who is a cabal leader to say you were wrong for doing the will of a god? I have never been blemished for acting against a cabals rules for a church matter. Just dont do it all the time.

As for not being allowed, start your own sect. Problem solved.

As for finding ways to keep people interested. Roleplay with them, set up events, help them. Don't just do invest rp then "alright see you later". Get a little more creative.

Now adays it is all about the Sacred loot. So just to tell you right now... The Sadr sacred loot sucks donkey balls. It has to be the least usefull stuff out there. None of it is even made of a protective/durable material...

I have had people ask me before what sacred suits aren't taken so they can make a char to nab it up real quick.

Whatever..
