I tried praying about this on the mud and I can recreate this at any time.

In about 15 seconds in taslamar I drained 12 obsidian from their account and I didn't fight a single guard.

Two runs through sith a niel using a less refined version of what i did in taslamar netted -1900 to the account in about 10 seconds total. I also never fought a single guard.

Any immortal who would like to see this recreated or wants information on how to do this please pm me or seek me out in game (Slayne des Granges)

Any player who is banished can do what I did at any time. And they can even do it better with any sort of preparation.

I doubt he meant 19 obs though, after all tribunal balance only shows the overall cost of a PC in his lifetime and stacks.

See, I dunno, because I know there's another character out that who has well over 2000 gold to his name and I haven't seen him log on much. And I mean, slayne's has been like that for awhile.

A simple solution as an idea(but I have no idea if it's equally easy to implement it code wise) is to get a law NPC having a cost not as it spawns, but only if it starts melee with an outlaw's group.

This way you can also reverse the ethereal spawning NPCs, since unless they start a melee with an outlaw's group, they won't cost a thing.

PS: All these are written considering it's easy to have a flag on law NPCs to know when they start melee. And also making melee of someone ethereal with someone not ethereal not setting this flag, since the ethereal one can simply walk away, no reason to type flee.

Wouldnt it be much easyer to code it so money is taken when they die not when they spawn. Then you could put a timer on them to make them leave after X ticks if not in combat. Would also stop MC guards being stuck in the ocean if that hasnt been fixed yet. Would also save on random wandering bounty NPCs left over from a raid.

There is always the 'remove stupid NPCs' idea.
Remove bounty NPCs or revamp them to be as any other NPC and we might see PK activity in cities again.

A lawful society wouldn't ever pay bounty hunters to do their guard's job.
Give tribunals something to do.
