What are you doing here??
You pierce at Zinobian's chest. Zinobian falls on his knees and collapses.
Zinobian is DEAD!!
You hear Zinobian's death cry.
You get 5 silver coins from a corpse of Zinobian.
You get 8 copper coins from a corpse of Zinobian.
You junk a corpse of Zinobian.
Just keep it all.

You walk southeast.

Thought it ended as soon as you killed whatever it was confusing you.

Nope, it is not based off of that anymore. It has an actual time now. I don't remember how long it is suppose to last but it will still affect you even though you killed them.

I think it depends on the NPC. Some will confuse you until they die or a few ticks pass, and others just confuse you for a few ticks.

The difference is in the spell, not the NPC. Chaos, vs. confusion. I do always get the two mixed up, because they do exactly the same thing, but one spell ends when the caster dies. Other doesn't.

Chaos ends when the caster loses concentration.

Isn't chaos just a group version of confusion? I was thinking that in the past, I'd been hit by confusion by certain NPCs and had it wear off when they died, and with other NPCs, it had taken a few ticks even after the NPC died.

Erm, he had cast it a few times on my horse when i was behind it and it didnt affect the group. Also when I fight monks and they cast it on the horse it doesnt affect the group and it ends when monks die. So I dont think its a matter of group vs. person.
