Basically, make it so that when you drop/get items it would show the same as when you look at the items. Instead of 40 lines of bowls it would show ( 40) a bowl of blabla.

Don't forget take and put (for containers), too.

Thanks D! :)

So the 'get' command is the only important one to change? Or do we need it for things like 'drop' as well? If so, what commands? Also, someone mentioned they have played a game that has this already. Can you tell me what game and/or code base they use?

Yes yes, Legands of Karnith has that, www.Karnith.com Fern is the imp She is nice, I can ask her Ingame if she can tell me the code base.. and let you know..

I dont think I understand what you're trying to say here. What I would want is:

Code:
[type]    SELF  VICTIM OTHER
miss      off        off          off
deflect   off        off          off
block     off        off          off
hit        on         on           on

so that hits are not shown anymore.

Ah. I just thought you wanted a command like it, and I was going 'umm, I think it's there.' You want this added. I get it. Sometimes I just wish the person in the party getting beat on should be highlighted. Course this gets sticky with tenticles and all.

I always have trouble reading info without scrolling back to see who is actually getting beat on. I wish there was a way the hp% could be included with the name in the tabled formation.

I checked mudmagic and couldn't find anything. I could write this myself, but I don't have a lot of spare time. If something is already out there, I'd rather just drop it in.

Excellent idea. And it does sound quite simple to code. Since the 'get' command is a repetitive routine just gag the room echo and replace it with another at the end containing the number of times the routine was called.

It's actually not that simple to code. You can't assume they will just be dropping a stack of the exact same object.

Wouldn't mind seeing this for wraiths and maybe even MI, too.
