Dispelling a held object may be interesting, remove all those nasty enchants you don't want and start over...ohh the possibilities.

wtf, darkness spells aren't easy to come by unless you're a certain class? hogwash. Any class can get into the deep elf city bazaar and buy one.

I just think a new spell added to sorcs (and only sorcs) called "silent darkness" and have it make the object cease humming and glowing.

This way only a darkness scroll can remove the glowing while keeping the humming effect.

There's also a scroll of silence - so I'm not really sure what the big deal is...

1) People are lazy.

2) More people should ROLEPLAY with a sorc or a priest to get a continual light item. I would make them for lowbies ALL THE TIME.

You DO realize how many priests have been on lately, right? You DO realize you can't be everywhere, yes? There was a noob screaming his [REDACTED] off for two rl days, at various points in the day that he couldn't see at night.

Necros and warlocks have the spell as well.

IMO the spell should be offered with some RP, not just some NPC healer ability.

The quest idea for a glowing necklace or bracelet in every newbie area sounds nice as well.

I'd love to have newbie quests offer a glowing item. That'd be pwnage.

But forcing a whole race who NEEDS a certain something right out of the box, to have to rp with people who may, or may not be around, and may, or may not be interested in doing jack for others to get what they need, is a little lame.

Each race has advantages and disadvantages.

By giving continual light everywhere instantly, the point of having races with infravision in the first place is stupid.
