You can start combat with a bash.

You can start combat with dirt kicking.

You can start combat with a trip.

Why can't you start combat with a kick?


Please allow us to start combat with a kick. It's a small change, but I think it should be made for continuity.

Edit: I think the larger 'problem' is that you can't target a kick. You can set a target with the other aforementioned skills, but not with kick.

Sure, start a fight with a kick.

But then let barbs be able to counter that strike and add the chance of mangling or severing the incoming leg.

There needs to be a higher level kick skill too. The damage on kick just doesn't cut it against a decent suit of armor.

Which is why it would likely be a beneficial start against a barb without a simultaneous counterstrike tweak. Trips fail and don't start the fight, bashes fail and don't start the fight, kicks would start the fight.

Not every skill must be elite.
'Kick' helps alot in training and I think the fact that it cannot be aimed is intentional. Avoid counterstrike etc...

I would like to see centaur's get a more powerful form of kick, regardless.

It just would help the flagging race.

If that's the case, then the centaur's kick should be renamed and buffed to twice the strength of a normal kick. Something like "hoof smash" or something cheesy.

And if kicks can't start battle, I'd at least like to see them usable against doors. Everybody knows that bashing is only a Hollywood stunt and kicking is what really works on doors.

I just pictured a centaur 'hoof smashing' its way through a bashable door in my head, and found the image very, very intimidating. Which probably means it's not a bad idea.

Centaurs should get a skill called trample!!! It should also have a chance to do triple damage if this amount of damage is enough to finish off a foe, thus it would also work like a finishing blow *nods sagely*
