A lot of people (I think) are missing what Forsooth is shooting for - we're talking about making changes in tandem with what was done with create food, and possible replacements of current spells for already existing spells, not totally new abilities. Those would be supplied, I think, for the whole religion.

As for input, I think heavy armor isn't so useful as to take away such a strong leveling spell as flamestrike.

I do, however, really like the idea of making flamestrike/SOF/HW unique. Zavijah's changing to lighting is a great example.

Actually, this is intended as an idea thread. Ideas for new spells are as welcome as ideas for systems like mine. If Dulrik sees something he likes, he's not shy about pushing the discussion in that direction. Until then, the wider the net, the more likely we'll catch a fish.

That said, I do think it's worthwhile to think of consequences. Is a suggestion balanced? Does it add enough fun to the game to be worth the coding effort? A brief statement of why an idea is good can't hurt. If nothing else, it might inspire some worthwhile discussion.

*imagines the hoarde of Elemental priests showing up.*

Ain has to have one for Scale, and one For Eye.

Scale: Logic: similar to GSTR, but weaker. Increases intelligence.

Eye: Judgement: allows a priest to perform a crushing opening attack with a blunt weapon that mangles a random limb.
