Ghent would have made overpowered staves of charm and would have used them to have a LOT of fun. ;)

I would SO make a new character and stick to it if I could become an artificer. No doubt.

I don't know that charm would be one of the spells available. I'm thinking that it would be limited to personal spells and buffs, more so than "I win" spells like charm, FoD, petrification, etc. Even sleep seems slightly overpowered to me, but I wouldn't rule that one out.

Well, it seems to me that a 1-charge average-powered FoD wand wouldn't be too bad. I mean, overpowered would be just that, but a 1-shot that took a crapload of mana...

Charm would be sick.

Mana and materials cost, with a fairly large chance of failure, a wand of FoD would be fine with me. Even a wand of charm. Offensive magical staffs? I don't think I like that idea.

Make it like brewing. Except not so annoying.
