I'm not sure if this is actually a bug or not but the griffon extra claw attack takes PE. I know that the extra attack a sprite gets is free so shouldn't the griffon's be too?

A sprite gets the extra attack to balance things out while a griffon gets the extra attack as a bonus.I think that it is fine.

I know, I know! Sprites will no longer get a free attack that costs 0 PE!

On a serious note, the cost of melee attacks is so low is this even worth complaining about?

At low levels it does hurt.

At higher levels the PE cost is insignificant and at lower levels, the boon it provides makes it worthwhile, by far.
