Suggestion: What if the paypal link could be placed below or near the vote button (and make it only one link), and the adsence links be placed between the logo and the forum (rather than on the right side).

I think it would look cleaner, and give us back the lost post space.

PS I'll clear that up if it doesn't make sense.

I can't really create a column for the google ads, then collapse it after a certain number of posts, so we'll never 'reclaim' the area to the right where the paypal icons are.

One option I was toying with was hiding the paypal icons when there is only one post being displayed on the page - that's the only bad formatting anomally that exists, from my perspective. Everything else ends up fitting together rather well.

And I'd always prefer to give folks the option of both donating and subscribing to SK - refer to Dulrik's paypal donation thread for more discussion on that front.

Lastly, I appreciate the anti-spam suggestions, but we might want to keep them separate from this discussion. Rest assured that as admins we agree that the unwanted posts are annoying, so we're always keeping an eye out for imrovements.

The new theme skLight is available in its beta form.

I was misunderstood. My fault. Sorry. Here's what I'm trying to say. Look at the top left, you'll see the Shattered Kingdoms pretty purple logo. Glancing to the right a bit, you'll see the Shattered Kingdoms, Your OOC guide to Pyrathia, and to the right of that you'll see the vote button. Still with me? Right below all of that, (but above the Shattered Kingdoms Forum Index) is where the adsence should go. (In other words, the adsence goes between the SK logo and the forum content). This will give us the space where the adsence currently exists back. I'll comment below on the paypal.



Completely understand. By why two buttons. Why can't we click the PayPal button which takes us to another SK page (e.g. http://shatteredkingdoms.org/makeadonation) that gives us the ability to make a $5, $10, $15, or "other" one-time donation, and an option to donate $5, $10, or "other" ever quarter. See what I'm saying?

Still a bit tired from a trip, so sorry if this still doesn't make sense.
