You walk south.

The Nave
You stand inside the Cathedral of Menegroth. Impressivly built, this
structure is as much a shrine to gothic architecture as it is a house of
worship for the many that gather here. A wide aisle allows for traffic to
flow smoothly to the shrines of their respective deities. To provide the
lighting for this walk, large windows run nearly the length of the ceiling
to the floor. The windows are spaced perfectly between columns that support
the towering roof which must be well over twice the height of the tallest
giant. A fresco dedicated to many of the popular gods that are worshipped
here adorns the ceiling. Depictions of the gods and their angels seem to
dance around a glimmering portrait of the Emperor in the direct center of
the long hallway's ceiling. A most stately building, it must've taken
fortunes to fund and years to construct.

What is this, how did it happen? It cost me my life. I died 1 round later.

Now, granted, 1 v. 4 + pets/dominates isn't precisely -smart- but it's what I had to do. I just don't know where the "dodging my attack" even comes from.

The only thing edited from this clip is a cabal channel tell. Can someone look into this, please?

What it seems like is that you were casting a spell on the group. As the group cam in the room the spell failed, because there was no target. Fireball, being a hostile spell, and the characters being present as the spell failed was considered as an attack to initiate combat. Then your character proceeded into the following round of combat where he dodge you. It is a complete load of crap that you were forced to attack. It is also crap, because your spell did not even get a fail message.

That NPC was in the room before the group came in. . . It's still confusing.

I didn't log the combat last night, but I can say, obviously, that the NPC was apart of our group. How we got separated I'm not sure...

When I fireballed you all on the Empire Avenue before this, he came after me, entering my midnighted room, and stopped following you guys. He followed me into the Nave, but couldn't attack because I was invis.

one of the fun quirks of tribunal NPCs is that even though they will be grouped with you, they still behave like solo NPCs. Meaning that if you hit them with a ranged attack, they will abandon whatever group they are with to track down their ranged attacker.

some of the have problems auto assisting too.

Try using retreat in a tribunal formation.

This makes no sense at all. If your spell fails to go off because your target moves out of the area, it gives you the "you can see nothing to attack there" message. Which we see right:
