Now that there is a more developed stance system why not get rid of the to hit and damage bonus that taunt gives and have it switch the target to stance aggressive instead?

If you changed it to that, then taunting a fighter would have less of a draw back then it does now.

If you taunted a caster it would both lower their concentration AND cast time.

No, leave it the way it is...or add the stance change. But no to changing the dmg/hit rolls.

Actually, I meant to suggest this idea myself.

Instead of giving the slight combat boost, going mood aggressive would take care of all that.

It would make perfect sense to lock the person into mood aggressive and them unable to switch back until the taunt wears off. Would be great for drawing people out of mood defensive. It's risky for the swashy cause now they are certainly going to get pounded on good and hard.

That's [REDACTED]. I don't understand why you would BE defensive when going against a swashie in the first place.

It would work if the person is neutral as well, not just defensive.

Don't you already switch to agressive?

Either way, I'm against removing the hit/dam bonus.

I just checked and no, you don't already switch to aggressive stance.

Wont a change like this add a lag effect during combat? Wouldn't that be a boon for a swash? I thought I remember reading that there was a during combat lag for mood changes.

If i'm right on that it would actually be a good idea because once you taunt that mage you can taunt his charmie and the charmie is lagged out of that o all bash xxx command.

It has several other applications anyways, depending on if I am right.

there is a lag affect if you do it manually in combat.

I wouldn't see any point in making a forced change have a lag effect though. Taunt is already powerful as it is, making it add lag would be a boost for it.

Making people switch to mood aggressive would actually be a nerf for the swashi in some instances and a boost in other instances. It would require more thought on the end of the swashi as to when they actually want to apply it.
