Not sure if this has been brought up, but if you're grouped in the newbie area, only the person who lands the killing blow gets the money from the NPC.

You aren't really getting the money from the NPC per auto gold, it is scripted to be handed to you and the NPC doesn't die, it gets taken "away".

Since you didn't get it via auto gold, it is not getting split.

This is not a bug, it's just "one of those things" that happens when you use scripts.

solution: manually type split xxx

you'll only be in there for an hour anyways.
