This has always irked me but can this dumbass social be removed?

XXX throws his hands up in disgust at his lousy typing skills!

How is that IC? Does my character understand that the character is typing?

And I hate people slamming that social everytime they make a god damn typo.

I agree though if we are going to rid of that, We might as well get rid of BRB and such. Though 5+ cool points for using the word irked.

The be-right-back social seems to be more IC than anything involved with typo. For instance, a priest stepping out of a meeting or RP to resurrect someone. That seems appropriate, while typo is blatantly OOC.

I agree. Also, anyone who uses the tipping of the hat social while not wearing a hat should automatically get a level curse for being a dumbass.

Were we to curse everyone who was being a dumbass, each time they were a dumbass, we'd have a lot of low level characters.

I don't mind seeing typo gone, and maybe brb, but leave tip. The reason, is you don't really need a hat to "tip your hat" in my opinion. When your not wearing a hat, I imagine either an imaginary hat, or more of a nod you would perform as if you were tipping your hat, which is different than a standard nod.

Actually, it isn't entirely too uncommon to still make the tipping motion without a hat.
