No, you're an AmeriCAN'T.

On topic, I never much liked the name Sadr to be honest. All other gods have a name that makes an impact but "sadr" just reminds me of the sound one makes when falling from his bed while sleeping

Best imm name ever: Yopparai.
Drunk in Japanese.

Yopparai was a mortal before it became an Imm. Should read the wedding log in which the groom was mimic'd.

All of the Immortals are named after star constellations if I remember correctly, save possibly Dulrik.

They're named after individual stars.

Mira is sending off it's rays of awesomeness these days too.

On topic to Osterich: Don't be so ignorant as to let one person change your opinion about part of a NAME. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for serving this country, but please save your flag waving for things that matter and not over censoring someones name.

What he said. You sound like that lady that demanded a indemnification because she put her cat dry in the microwaves and the machine didn't have it in print that living animals should not be put in it.

Generally the names for the Immortals are derived from stars. I know there is one episode on Star Trek: TNG where they do enter a low orbit around a planet in the Mira star system...

A

That's "al-Sadr", not "Sadr"

Al is used as 'the' and merely a formality for the name. Translated into english, it'd be Sadr, Goldy. Of course, they never do change that in the language barrier...

As for changing it simply b/c its the name of a terrorist, that would be ridiculous. That'd be like Obama changing parts of his name simply because its the same as Saddams.

Al actually translates as "from".
As in Saddam Hussein Al Tikriti, who was from Tikrit, and this Al-Sadr chap, who would appear to come from the Sadr city area of Baghdad.
