Yesterday I came to think about tribunals again. I dislike them for several reasons, mainly because you can banish/outlaw people which prohibit city-raids etc. One thing that came to my mind is that I really don't think tribunal members should have the vast access to NPCs that casts all kind of spells from rift, giant strength, haste etc etc. It ruins the uniqueness of mainly spell-casters if you can just join a tribunal and get all the spells there...

So you don't like that they control the law, and you don't want them to have access to NPCs with class abilities. What exactly DO you want them to be?

Please state in 10,000 words or less why being banished makes you unable to raid a place, or makes a player incapable of performing such an action.

The main problem is that tribunal members has vast access to a lot of spells which normally would require PC interaction to get. I just like the idea of the different classes being more or less unique but that is broken when trib members has access to grandmaster spells like haste, sanc, gs, rift, summon etc etc.

   Wow, just wow. I'm going to hazard a guess that you either play a character in the MC or in a Cabal?

WTF would be the point in tribunals if you took away the ability to order, and the law system?

They aren't cast at GM level. Nice try though.

Cyra, it can be done in three words: Reaching cleave weapons.

But then, even that provides options.

Nope, not in a cabal and it wouldn't matter if I were.

That means that the GM NPCs that can be ordered around by trib members does not cast GM spells?

Why play a shaman or a priest if you can be a merc and have access to 90% of the defensive spells by joining a tribunal?

You know what else is unfair? Making friends on Sk can also grant you all those same spells. That is so not cool. Friends should be illegal on SK.

The difference is that the NPCs will ALWAYS be there while friends are not and beside making friends requires something called RP.

joining a tribunal also requires RP. Tribunal NPCs' spells also are not GM, so friends are still preferable. Lets look at the trade offs, you can't report attempted murder in your own lands? People raiding will also have the same spells, and if they are a tribunal then it will be even, a cabal will also have their skills, and non affiliated will have those same spells from friends cause they would be dumb not to.
