Sorry, but if you're evil, being fair game for many lighties is part of the balance for your alignment. (I don't see it being much of a problem in the other direction, since everyone is fair game for evil.) If you want to converse in lightie areas, stick to areas controlled by principled characters rather than scrupulous.

The only RP that's being missed is betrayal RP by lighties/darkies. Greys can waffle just fine, and I believe that fills the bill.

Other problems seem to have more to do with PK dominating story-telling RP. I don't see the alignment system as the problem here. I think it's actively helpful in keeping the game from degenerating into Team Good vs. Team Evil.

As a lawful evil character, (yes, I went into D&D alignment talk), I actually find the character more concerned with the evil guys than the good guys.
