Both of these ideas strike me as.. mostly completely unnecessary. The second one is okay I suppose, but the first one.. It is messy. There are many good ideas floating around that could genuinely improve the game and that is not one of them. It would make things confusing and would be a waste of resources.

Here's what I don't get from the first idea.

It sounds like "OMG your god is more powerful than my god. He protects you, and none of my prayers are strong enough to overcome this.' Sorry, I just don't buy it.

On the other hand if F2 religous spells carried some kind of bonus against opposite aligned or polar opposite religions, and F3s a bit more (offensive and defensive), and perhaps resistences against said religious individuals that could make a degree of sense. Then an F3 theoretically would be more protected/stronger than an F2/F1, but if they're fighting against another F3, that person would also have more defenses. Sorry this isn't more fleshed out.

The resurrection idea has a degree of merit but it too should be tweaked. If each religon consistently had enough priests to regularly cover the time zones, I'd say sure. Maybe if there was some consideration (as I've seen posted) where you have some religions which are more atuned, that could make sense. I like the idea if you were resurrected by your polar opposite, that'd kinda suck. As well it should. I could site a strange encounter I had ages ago though. Which is more important, a difference between your alignment/alignment of your deith & the alignment of the priest's deity, or the alignment of the priest? Somewhere I should give proper kudos to the deep-eleven Nashirian priest I crossed paths with. Whomever directled me to the Nashirian priest may or may not have known, but it made for good 'Oh well THIS is awkward' sort of RP.

I like it.

Maybe switch 'immunity' with 'extreme resistance', IE 1/3 of the damage, +8 to saves against (read 2 normal greater enchants to the appropriate save), 1/3 of healing done. Would be a good start, and if it works well, maybe in the future switch it to immunity.

The SD thing is probably one of the things that should have been there in the first place, but noone thought it up till now.

Personally, I'd prefer to get some kind of reward for the more experienced fighter characters, ie. Inzaarid. As stated in the weapon differentiation thread, he should be able to rip through a group of masters, but instead gets his [REDACTED] handed to him on a plate by any old giant with a kama. I'd like it if there was a way for immortals to reward characters like him with fighting prowess as a way of showing his experience and skill. Highly regulated, of course, and it would need a shitload of RP. Still, characters like Inzaarid, Aelraen, etc. deserve it.

Another idea is to make NPC respawn times faster, so you spend less time waiting for repops to lvl faster. Instead of wasting time!

+1

A lot of times players are waiting and/or competing for spawns. Want to keep area familiarity? Sure. Want SK to grow? Could make the NPCs respawn faster. The zakami beasts den in Nerina respawns on a good speed.

Can we also have player carry-able sleeping bags and/or blankets for extra on-the-spot regen? Something that we lay on the ground and sleep on them for comfort + increased health/mana return.

All we need is Peso having the ability to GM faster so that he can drop his character for the next shiny thing.

Hi newbie, I can GM anything still in under 60 hours, save for necros...never really tried them...should I?

That and...I think both my chars are in their thirties, Jeypinn about 8 weeks older than Uthaur, but hey, they are both long lasting so far.
